OHIO BRINGS HOME A DUVAL DIAMOND AWARD

~2009 DIAMOND AWARDS MIDWEST PUBLICIST OF THE YEAR~

Cleveland OH, December 6th - Jacksonville Florida hosted the 9th Annual Duval Diamond Awards, at The Ritz Theater. The Diamond Awards was presented by Strong Family Entertainment and T.H.E. Booking Agency and included sponsors from around the country. The Duval Diamond Awards combines award categories for people working in the urban music industry and Duval County specific categories. December 4th-6th was devoted to the Diamond Awards with special events at several of the hottest clubs in Jacksonville.

Ohio resident So Sincere, was honored for her work as a publicist by receiving a Diamond Award for Midwest Publicist of the Year. She was nominated for Publicist of the Year along side Publicist of the Year winner Elora Mason from Florida, Texas's own Nancy Byron, and several other high profile publicists in the industry.

"I was honored just to be nominated next to some of the best publicists in the industry. I honestly was beyond shocked when they announced Midwest Publicist of the year and said my name. Thank you to my family especially my mom, my auntie and uncle who support me in everyway. ALL my clients, thank you for having faith in me and allowing me to represent you. A couple of So Sincere's clients were honored with Diamond Awards nominations: Cleveland bred/Atlanta based producer L.T. mOE was nominated for Producer of the Year, and DJ Ames from the U.K. was nominated for Mixtape DJ of the Year. So Sincere is also a contributing writer for Diamond Awards nominated Magazine of the Year , Street Report Magazine, which is based out of Atlanta.

So Sincere is the only Ohio resident to win a Diamond Award this year, but she was not the only Ohio resident nominated. Martins Ferry Ohio native, Slick Watts (www.Wattsymusic.com) was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

Other than the many awards given out during the night, The Diamond Awards honored: Wendy Day, best known for her work as the founder of Rap Coalition, she received the Big Boss of the Year Award. Tony Neal, of The Core DJ's, was named Man of the Year and TJ Chapman, of TJs DJs, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

**So Sincere has worked in the music industry for 5 years. She started by working the door and taking pictures at events in Cleveland for ITW Marketing, booking as well as managing artists independently through her company Added Bonus Ent. and in late 2008 she made the transition to P.R. In 2007 she was the recipient of the Voices Against Silence award for an event she spear headed in Cleveland, which brought together hip hop DJ's and artists from across the state of Ohio to help raise awareness for H.I.V/Aids for the Aids Taskforce of Greater Cleveland. She has sat on panels and moderated for the Nerve DJ's conferences and has been a special invited guest on several Bigga Rankin/Big Spenda Records/Cool Runnings DJ's networking conference calls including the 2009 Power Female Industry Call. So Sincere, Next 2 Blow editor for Yoraps.com for almost 2 years has attended awards on their behalf for Yoraps.com's nominations at the 2008 Urban Threshold Under Ground Music Awards (UMA) in NYC and the 2009 Southern Entertainment Awards (S.E.A) in Mississippi. She recently became a senior editor for 216thetakeover.com.
